Playdate

We had a playdate with our whole family after school. Everyone was a bit grumpy at first. It has been unbearably hot, like 110 hot. By the end of the day we all left with a smile.

Hang Ten

who watches shark week then wants to learn to surf? in the ocean even.

mine do.

hmmmm. wonder what's out there?

they are thinking about it.

they go for it!

they are up! but why are they both facing the wrong way?  all day we surfed and i am glad to report no sign of any fins.

let me tell you

- why i lose my breath so often and have to remember how to breathe, in out in out.
- why i live with my heart in my throat.
- why he teaches me confidence.
- why she teaches me perseverance.
- why at the end of the day i always have a smile on my face.

she will slowly build her confidence over and over.

 until she has success. sometimes this takes days and sometimes it takes YEARS! but she doesn't give up. she is amazing.

now this one, he knows exactly what is to be done before he starts. and when he starts, 

holy $*&@!

his confidence is rock solid.

it has to be to fly like that.

it's so hot here. we decided to do some collaging. she has such a great imagination.

 i can only watch him fly for a little while.

she laughs at me and tries her own tricks.

 

it helps me not scream watching him through a lens. amazing.
